Photo of the Day: Chocolate Chip Banana Pumpkin Bread

Chocolate Chip Banana Pumpkin Bread (Yummy!!)

So my wife got this recipe from a friend of ours over at Coffee Cake and Cardio.  She made a few variations (bananas instead of applesauce and dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet).  Our friend Ashley actually had hers with Ice Cream!!  Sinful!!

I indulged a bit…

You guys have got to try this!

  3. Oooooh yum! My weakness! Looks delicious – could use a piece right now!!! 🙂

  4. Omg I make this too but I do a vegan version. I just omit the egg, use wheat flour, light vanilla soy (or almond) milk and yes, it’s good to use the applesauce instead of oil….I’m guilty I’ll use 1/4 cup oil for moisture most of the time.

  5. Looks delicious! Since I’m allergic to apples, substituting the apple sauce with banana sounds like a great idea to me! Out of curiosity, did you substitute one for one? (meaning, the recipe calls for 1.5 cups of apple sauce … did you substitute 1.5 cups of mashed banana? or maybe more or less?) thanks for the assist!

    1. No. Not sure how many cups 1 banana is, but that’s all my wife used.

      1. Thanks, Jason! Hope to give this recipe a try soon — hope you’re having a great weekend!
